Crochet Snowflake Earrings & Ornament Pattern for the Holidays

It’s that time of year! We’re all rushing to buy presents and get packages mailed. During the hustle bustle of the holidays, I always like to have a pile of handmade ornaments ready! Are you like me? If so, you’ll want to grab up this crochet snowflake ornament pattern!

Oh My Snowflake is a quick project with only 3 rounds. It whips up quickly and you can make a pile of them to wear or gift. They make great tree ornaments and package toppers.

One of the things I LOVE about snowflakes is that they are ALL SEASON LONG appropriate! You can decorate with them and leave them up after the holidays. If UN-decorating at the end of the holidays is one of your weaknesses (like it is mine), this is the perfect solution!

Materials Needed to Crochet Snowflake Earrings

  • Approximately 12-15 yards of size 8 embroidery thread or size 10 or 20 crochet thread
  • 1.65-1.8 mm hook (you choose the hook that works best for you and gives you tight stitches)
  • Needle for weaving in ends
  • 2 fish hook ear wires
  • Flat nose pliers
  • Aleene’s Stiffen Quik or any brand clear-drying fabric stiffening spray
  • Wax paper
  • Blocking mat
  • Blocking pins

Materials Needed to Crochet Snowflake Ornaments

  • Scrap amount (less than 10 yards) of DK or Worsted yarn
  • 3 mm – 4.5 mm hook (you choose the hook that works best for you and gives you tight stitches)
  • Needle for weaving in ends
  • Ornament hook, small length of jute/hemp, or scrap of yarn to hang ornament.
  • Aleene’s Stiffen Quik or any brand clear-drying fabric stiffening spray
  • Wax paper
  • Blocking mat
  • Blocking pins
