I’ve taken a way-too-long break from crochet earring pattern writing. Thanks to the encouragement of my friend Malena of Straight Hooked, I’m attempting to jump back in. The last several years have been pretty packed full of turmoil in my non-crochet career. I took on a new role, earned a promotion to professor, my program got eliminated, and I got laid off before my raise kicked in! If that doesn’t count as turmoil, I don’t know what does. Hopefully, you can forgive the PAUSE in Bliss This and are ready to get back to crocheting beautiful earrings.
I love creating leaf patterned earrings. They’re perfect for fall in bright reds, yellows and oranges or even in neutral colors. They’re also perfect for spring in all shades of green. And if you aren’t thrilled about working with thread, try worsted yarn and make some leafy decorations!
For the crochet leaf earring, I used Lizbeth crohet cotton in size 10. Other perfect threads for this earring include Curio 10, Artiste 10, and Aunt Lydia’s 10. As with most of my accessory patterns, I encourage you to experiment with the thread or yarn you like and an appropriate hook size.
