The Ventanitas (which means little windows in Spanish) Crochet Top pattern is a quick and easy sideways work up. You’ll love how quickly this piece comes together and how versatile it is in your wardrobe. Wear it over a blouse, a dress, a tank, a t-shirt, long-sleeves, short-sleeves, no sleeves…you really can’t go wrong. This top pairs well with so many garments in your wardrobe and can be worn year-round!
The original was designed to be made with 3 coordinating colors, but you can make this with 2 or even 1 color scheme. The surface slip stitches really give it a touch of WOW, so don’t forget to add at least a contrasting yarn for that!

The ORIGINAL Ventanitas Crochet Top
If you follow my social media, you may have seen this top last summer. I wore it over and over. It was (and still is) my absolutely favorite top to throw on and go! I made a few adjustments as I wrote up the pattern and the version you see below is the NEW and IMPROVED Ventanitas Crochet Top pattern! You’ll need sport weight yarn, crochet hooks in sizes 4.5mm and 5mm as well as some experience with tension and gauge to create this top. This pattern is rated level 2 (EASY) according to the standards set by the Craft Yarn Council.
