Crochet Shawl Pattern Just in Time for Summer

It’s that time of year again. What time of year, you ask? The time of year when you crochet items that are perfect for summer! I crochet all year round, and I hope you do too. I live in the very moderate climate of the Pacific Northwest (USA), and our evenings tend toward cool, so the All Strung Together Shawl is just perfect for outdoor parties, weddings or just sitting on your porch, enjoying the cool evening breeze. This shawl isn’t limited to summer though. You can make this easy crochet shawl pattern for any season, occasion, event, or outfit!

Re-Introducing the All Strung Together Crochet Shawl Pattern

The All Strung Together Shawl pattern was first published in Happily Hooked Pattern Pack Pro, Issue 82. This is its debut as an individual pattern. The original pattern calls for 3 strands of size 10 cotton crochet thread to be held together to crochet the shawl. However, for this new release, I decided that a fingering weight yarn would be ideal.

Now is the time to mention that you can really crochet this shawl in absolutely whatever you want. Just keep in mind that you may need to go up or down in hook size in order to create the drape and fabric you want. You’ll also want to be aware that you may need more or less yardage depending on what you use. Let your creativity rule with this one!

All Strung Together Crochet Shawl Pattern Features

There is much to enjoy while making this pattern. Some of my favorite features are:

  • It’s made bottom-up, starting at the point and increasing by adding stitches on each side.
  • The shawl is an easy repeat of stitches that will work up quickly.
  • The edging on this shawl is delicate, unique, and MAKES THE PIECE!
  • Work with any size yarn and any fiber to create this shawl.
  • Continue the repeats to make this shawl much bigger if you desire.

Check Out the Testers’ Photos

It’s been several years since the pattern test for the All Strung Together Shawl, but I managed to unearth 2 tester photos from the archives. I love the colors the testers went with. I believe both testers used DK yarn and I-9/5.5mm hooks to complete their versions of the shawl.
