Pattern Notes
- All directions are written in US Crochet terms.
- To find out the size you need, measure around hand just below the knuckles. This gives you the circumference. Choose the size based on this measurement.
- RS and WS are different for each mitt since you have to fold sides together in opposite directions to create the thumb area. For left mitt, fold short end (foundation ch and row 1) over long end (the last row crocheted). For right mitt, fold long end (the last row crocheted) under short end (foundation ch and row 1). (See Photo B with inset photo)
- All slip stitching is done on the RS of the mitts. Seams will be visible and add texture to the exterior of the mitts.
- Not all bulky yarn is the same. Be sure to check gauge and adjust accordingly. If you have too few sts in the gauge, use a smaller hook. If you have too many sts in the gauge, use a larger hook.
- You can adjust the width of the thumb section by adding or decreasing rows in multiples of 2. This will add or decrease the number of rows you will have in the triangle/wrist section.
Please NOTE, this pattern is ALSO available as a PDF download in Ravelry and Etsy. If you wish to print the pattern, you should only do so by purchasing the pattern. Printing from the blog and screenshots of the blog post constitute a copyright violation.
