The Christmas Bliss Medallion is a versatile ornament that you can hook up in any size thread or yarn. Size 3 cotton thread and a 2.75mm hook creates a perfect hanging ornament. Worsted weight yarn and a 4mm hook makes a lovely coaster. Size 10 cotton thread and a 1.5mm hook turns into a sweet pair of earrings. It all depends on what you want to create. This is the perfect design to play with color too. It works well in solid, alternating, or a different color for every round.

Notes
- All directions are written in US Crochet Terms.
- All sts are crocheted in one round into the MC. Watch this video for my No Fail Magic Circle technique.
- Gauge is not essential for this project, but tighter sts will result in an ornament / earring that holds its shape better.
- When crocheting into your MC, keep your tail long enough to adjust (pull tight) the MC at the end.
- When slip stitching to complete the earring, insert your hook in the FIRST sc from the back to the front, pull the lp of your last st through and complete your sl st on the back side of the earring.
- This pattern can be worked in any size crochet thread or yarn and appropriate hook. Experiment with different size threads/yarns and hooks to achieve smaller or larger earrings.

Stiffen Earrings and Ornaments
1. Place crocheted pieces on wax paper or plastic wrap on a flat surface or blocking mat. (The wax paper or plastic wrap protects your surfaces from build up of the stiffening spray.)
2. Spray both sides with stiffening spray. Use your fingers to work the spray through the fibers of the thread or yarn. If there is excess spray, gently squeeze it out with your fingers. You want the fibers to be saturated, but not dripping.
3. Adjust shape and pin. Wait for pieces to dry.
Assembly Instructions
For Ornament: Cut a length of jute, hemp or coordinating yarn. Knot 2 ends together. Using your crochet hook, loop the yarn through ornament. Pull knotted end through loop. Hang ornament.
For Earrings: Open the loops on the earring hooks to the side with your flat nosed pliers. Slip one stitch from the crocheted earring onto the open loop. Close the loop of the earring hooks to the side with the flat nosed pliers.
